Business Development Executive Role

Business Development Executive Role

To assist the Commercial team to optimise business development opportunities. You will be responsible for generating new business leads and opportunities within the company. You will conduct research on the global life science market, by identifying the most influential individuals within the target accounts. Role will make a measurable contribution through the commercial team towards the overall growth and profitability of the company.

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation / Business Development

• Consistently exceed targets for delivering high quality new business leads to the business by outbound calling, direct marketing and social media campaigns
• Build rapport and network of relationships with prospective clients
• Actively qualify new leads to the point where there is a clear expression interest or defined need
• Efficiently operate internal systems and processes to harmonise activities within the team
• Be knowledgeable on all ACHiiVE products and services
• Create a positive and professional first impression of ACHiiVE with potential customers

Market Awareness and Research

• Research Life Sciences Industry to keep up to date on market activity
• Research target accounts to identify the individuals who are most relevant to ACHiiVE propositions and establish contact

Candidate profile:

• 1-3 year’s proven experience within lead generation / prospecting.
• Good understanding of business development process
• Must have demonstrable track record of success within new business / prospecting
• Candidate needs to be intelligent, bright, quick thinking, personable, outgoing, have a good phone manner, be hard working, able to work on own initiative and possess strong communication skills.
• Interest in Life Sciences/Learning & Development is highly advantageous, as is an ability to quickly grasp new concepts
• Degree level education required
• Agency / consultancy experience preferred

Work Arrangements

This is a permanent office-based role in Winchester, available immediately. Most of the time you will work a 40-hour week, but it may be necessary to work longer hours as business priorities dictate.
